Sky Blue FC News Release

Harrison, N.J. Following the conclusion of the 2020 National Women's Soccer League Challenge Cup, Kailen Sheridan has been named the SBFC MVP presented by Hackensack Meridian Health, as voted on by the fans.

Sheridan started all six games of the NWSL Challenge cup logging 540 minutes, 21 saves, and three shutouts. Sheridan's top-notch performance in goal led Sky Blue FC to their first NWSL Knockout round victory in club history against the Washington Spirit on July 18.

The Canadian International can add this to the list of accolades earned during the Challenge Cup, as she was awarded the NWSL Golden Glove award presented by Verizon on July 25.

The SBFC MVP Fan Vote campaign was launched on July 21, the day before Sky Blue's Semifinal Match against the Chicago Red Stars, and ended on Monday, July 27 at 5 pm ET. Fans had the opportunity to vote for who they think has been Sky Blue FC's Most Valuable Player throughout the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup.

The grand prize winner of the Kailen Sheridan signed goalkeeper kit courtesy of Hackensack Meridian Health is Jasmin C. of California. Our two SBFC Prize Pack winners are Kyle C. of Virginia & Rylee M. of Pennsylvania.
