
K-Wings Equipment Manager Reaches Milestone Game

ROCHESTER, MI--- The International Hockey League (IHL) would like to recognize and congratulate Kalamazoo Wings equipment manager Eric Bechtol as he reaches his 1,000th career professional game. Bechtol will participate in his 1,000th professional game tomorrow, Saturday, February 14th, as the K-Wings face-off against the Port Huron Icehawks on Kalamazoo's 9th Annual Pink Ice Game.
Before coming to Kalamazoo, Bechtol spent nine seasons with the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). With the Blues, he was the assistant equipment manager and served as a member of the 2001 NHL All-Star Game. Bechtol is now in his fourth year with the K-Wings. He got his start in hockey as a stick boy for the K-Wings for five years while growing up in Kalamazoo.
