Jordan Taylor Gives Back

September 28, 2015 - National Pro Fastpitch (NPF)
USSSA Pride News Release

Kissimmee, FL- September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month and Jordan Taylor has been on the pursuit of donations for pediatric cancer charities. This past month, Jordan Taylor has been urging her twitter followers to donate to any Pediatric Cancer charity of their choice for a chance to receive a FIGHT or USSSA Pride item for free.

It's simple, tweet Jordan Taylor a screenshot of your donation of $75 or more @7ordan7aylor and she could send you a Pride jersey, a FIGHT shirt/band or a combination of the three for free. This current giveaway will conclude at the end of the month so be sure to act quickly.

This isn't the first time Jordan Taylor has encouraged her fans to join the fight against pediatric cancer. Her experience as a University of Michigan student-athlete led to her involvement in Michigan From the Heart, a non-profit organization that gives U-M student athletes the opportunity to visit patients at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. This in turn increased her passion to give back to C.S. Mott Children's Hospital.

Following her career as a Wolverine, Taylor was drafted to USSSA and continued to help the cause by combining her love for softball as well as C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and created FIGHT to raise funds for the pediatric cancer unit.

Most funds are collected through selling items such as t-shirts, FIGHT bands and original artwork by Jordan Taylor herself. Taylor's organization also raises money through her event "So You Think You Can Hit?" where individuals give a small donation to challenge a professional softball player in the hitter's box.

Stemming from her personal experiences, losing both her grandmother, Elizabeth Sloan, and her father, John Taylor to cancer, Jordan has taken the opportunity to use her platform as a professional athlete to raise funds for a cause she feels passionate about.

If you would like to donate, listed below are a few Pediatric Cancer charities you can donate to in hopes of finding a cure for pediatric cancer:
