Jonathan Fauchon Named Vidéotron Player of the Week

Blainville-Boisbriand Armada winger Jonathan Fauchon is the latest Videotron Player of the Week in the QMJHL. In a pair of games, the Levis, Quebec product, who turned 20 on January 13, scored three times and added three assists while the Armada went 2-0-0-0.
On Friday night at home, Fauchon posted a pair of assists before finding the back of the net with just over four minutes to go in the third period. That would prove to be the game-winner in a 5-4 triumph over the Victoriaville Tigres. Fauchon was named the game's first star.
The fourth-year veteran kept finding the back of the net on Saturday afternoon in Shawinigan. After recording a goal and an assist through the first 40 minutes, Fauchon capped off a successful weekend with his 20th goal of the campaign, into an empty net, in the final minute of a 6-3 Armada victory over the Cataractes. Fauchon would also end the contest with an impressive +4 rating.
Fauchon, who currently leads the Armada with 49 points in 38 games, needs just two more points to reach the 150-point milestone in his QMJHL career. He was invited to the Philadelphia Flyers' training camp at the beginning of this season.
