JoJo Polk Returns to Canton

CANTON, OH - The Canton Cougars are pleased to announce the signing of Veteran Arena Football Defensive Back Joseph "JoJo" Polk to the roster for this week's game against the Northern Kentucky River Monsters.

JoJo is no stranger to arena football having played for the Arena Football League's Grand Rapids Rampage, Buffalo/Columbus Destroyers, Orlando Predators, and the Georgia Force. In 2001 JoJo was awarded the Most Inspirational Player of the Year Award, along with being named to the All-Rookie Team.

In addition to Polk's experience in the AFL, he also is no stranger to Canton. In 2006 JoJo lead the Canton Legends to the American Bowl 2 Championship against the hosting Rome Renegades. In 2009 Polk played for the Reading Express and won another championship along with MVP of the championship game.

With 10 years of professional playing experience JoJo will help lead a young Cougars Defensive Backfield.

The Cougars host the Northern Kentucky River Monsters and the UIFL leading passer in former NFL QB Jared Lorenzen this Saturday April 9th at the Canton Civic Center. Doors open at 6:30pm, and kickoff is at 7:30pm. Tickets start at $7.00 and can be purchased through ticketmaster or at the arena box office. Don't miss the REMATCH!!!
