Canton- The Canton Cougars sign Ohio University stand out Boo Jackson for the 2012 season. Jackson, who amassed a stellar and record breaking college career with the Bobcats, passing for 4,446 yards, 38 TD's, and 699 yards rushing with 9 TD. Jackson also led Ohio University in 2010 to the R&L Carriers Bowl in New Orleans against Troy, after leading the team to 7 straight victories. Jackson stated he decided to continue his football career in Canton after having multiple great conversations with CEO Tim Clark.

"He told me what he saw in me and that he followed my career and that he would love to have me with their organization." "He was very blunt and to the point with everything he saw and wanted from me and it definitely made me want to be a part of his organization."

"Also, I have a strong family/friend/fan base that I was able to establish from being able to play with the Ohio University Bobcats, being able to have that support system there definitely weighed in on my decision," Jackson said.
