JetHawks Get Great Outing From Bass, Win 6-2

(San Bernardino, CA) - Adam Bass was asked to stop the losing streak, and answered with his best outing of the year as the JetHawks downed the Inland Empire 66‘ers 6-2 at Arrowhead Credit Union Park in San Bernardino.

Bass (2-0) won his second game of the year, and had his second great start in a row. Bass did not allow a run and fanned seven over six innings. The 66'ers could only manage one hit off Bass, a second inning double by T.J. Bohn.

Jesus Cota had his best game since rejoining the JetHawks over the weekend. Cota collected three hits and drove home four runs in the game. Cota drove in 101 runs for Lancaster in 2002.

Carlos Quentin continued his hot hitting for the JetHawks, as he had two more hits in the game to extend his team-high hitting streak to ten games Quentin finished the four-games in San Bernardino with eights hits in sixteen trips to the plate, and has raised his average one hundred and fifty-four points over the past 10 games.

The road trip continues on Tuesday night as the JetHawks will go to Modesto to meet the Modesto A's. This series will be the first games for the JetHawks against the North Division this year. Keith Whatley will make the start for the JetHawks, and Derrell McCall will go to the mound for the A's.
