JetHawks Fall 4-3 In Final Game of Series

(Lancaster, CA) - The Lancaster JetHawks fell a run short in Game Five of the California League Championship Series, losing to the Modesto A's 4-3 at The Hangar on Monday night.

Lancaster fell behind 4-0 after the first three innings of the game, and did not have a hit until the bottom of the fourth inning.

The JetHawks were able to get on the board in the fourth inning. Danny Richar walked to lead off the inning, and two outs later scored on a double by Jay Garthwaite. Sean Luellwitz then followed with an RBI single of his own.

The game stayed 4-2 until the ninth, when the JetHawks cut the lead to one run. Jon Zeringue ripped a doubled with one out, and scored on the Luellwitz's second RBI hit in the game.

However, Lancaster could not do any thing more from that point in the inning.

After completing the regular season with 86 wins, the JetHawks finished the year with a 91-58 record overall including the playoffs.
