Lancaster JetHawks News Release
(Lancaster, CA) - The Lancaster JetHawks fell to the Lake Elsinore Storm 9-4 Saturday night in the second game of a four game series. Jeremy Cleveland led things off in the second inning with a single and came around to score on a ground out by Jose Lobaton. The Storm (28-27) added three more runs in the fourth inning on a three-run home run by Chase Headley; at the end of four the JetHawks trailed 4-0.
The JetHawks (25-31) made things interesting scoring 2 runs in the fifth. Rusty Ryal led off the inning with a double and came around to score on a single by Josh Ford. The JetHawks took advantage of a couple miscues by the Storm that allowed Ford to score the second run of the inning. Lancaster added two more runs in the sixth to close the gap to 6-4 when Josh Ford's ground ball was misplayed by Lake Elsinore shortstop Skip Adams. The error allowed two runs to come across.
But the Bullpen couldn't hold of the Storm. Lake Elsinore scored three runs in the eighth. Chase Headley hit a home run, his second of the game, to lead off the inning. Later a bases loaded single by Tim Brown scored two more runs.
