East Orange, N.J. (Monday, September 28, 2009) - The Jersey Express of the American Basketball Association announced today that they have created a formal partnership with the Newark Radio Series. Per terms of the partnership, the Newark Radio Series will broadcast programs and features for the Express throughout the upcoming ABA season, as well as webcast the home slate of games for the team.
"I'm extremely excited and proud to partner with Mr. Juanito Nortez and the Newark Radio Series for our home game webcasts," Express President Marsha Blount commented. "They'll be able to not only webcast our games but also provide insight into the organization with player interviews and special reports. The ability for the Newark Radio Series to broadcast features on AM 1430 WNSW Radio helps with our goal of introducing the communities in which we play to the Express. We are New Jersey's hometown team."
On behalf of the Newark Radio Series, Nortez shared his excitement regarding the partnership.
"As someone who has been following college and professional basketball for many years, I am extremely glad that we can partner with the Jersey Express to provide the very best online webcasts and produce special broadcast feature reports on AM 1430 WNSW Radio of this year's Jersey Express basketball games," he said.
The Newark Radio Series encompasses the New Jersey-based AM 930 WPAT and AM 1430 WNSW. The Newark Radio Series covers a variety of topics and mediums such as the Newark Bears minor league baseball organization and Newark (NJ) Mayor Cory Booker, and the network recently became a CBS Radio News affiliate.
