Jersey Express Partner With Triple Threat Foundation

East Orange N.J. (Tuesday, September 8, 2009) - The Jersey Express of the American Basketball Association formally created a partnership with Team Triple Threat Foundation today, announcing that they will collaborate on a variety of levels with the community group. The fruition of this partnership comes with much excitement as the Express are working towards their 2009-10 ABA season opener on November 21st.

"On behalf of the Jersey Express, we are thrilled to have completed the necessary outline of our relationship with the Team Triple Threat Foundation," Express President Marsha Blount said. "Working with Mr. Lance Jackson, President of Team Triple Threat, will be a great one for the communities in which we serve. Providing great basketball, mentoring, positive role models and fundraising opportunities for the Triple Threat Foundation are things that we are looking forward to."

The Team Triple Threat Foundation will become very much involved in the game day activities of the Express, from providing ball boys and girls to aiding in the coordination of the pregame regimen. The two groups will also participate in additional collaborative events such as basketball camps, fundraisers and academic workshops.

"We at the Team Triple Threat Foundation are ecstatic about our new venture/partnership, and we are looking forward to doing some great things with the Express to further uplift and unite our communities," a Triple Threat Foundation spokesperson stated. "Together, our goals are to provide our youth and our communities with various opportunities, support and inspiration, not to mention a great basketball team. As we embark on this monumental journey together, the positive impact on our community will be an immense one."

The Jersey Express is a member of the American Basketball Association and is currently preparing for their fifth season in the ABA. Quaasim Austin is the head coach of the Express with Cassandra Smith serving as his assistant coach, and the team will play their home schedule this year at East Orange Campus High School. The Express made the playoffs in each of their past two seasons and reached the ABA Elite Eight last year in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Express will open their 2009-10 season on Saturday, November 21st, when they host the New York City Thunder at 7:00 p.m. Season and opening game tickets are available now, and they can be obtained through the team website at www.jerseyexpress.net.
