November 14, 2011 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Jersey Express News Release

The Jersey Express opened up its 2011-12 ABA campaign on Saturday, November 12 with a loss to the Connecticut TopBallerz, 104-122. Darnell Braswell led the way for the Express, as he poured in 37 points in the defeat, in front of sold-out gym.

"It was a disappointing loss, but it was a learning experience for the guys, understanding how physical the game is," said head coach Joseph Amador.

The Express will be looking to avenge the loss this Saturday, November 19, when it takes the floor at the Jersey City Armory in Jersey City, N.J., for the first time, taking on the Staten Island Vipers at 7 p.m.

In anticipation of the home opener, the Express has re-launched its team website, www.jerseyexpress.net, providing a more fan friendly place to learn more about New Jersey's ABA team, including a roster, schedule, statistics, and more.

During halftime of the Express-Vipers game on Saturday night, there will be a performance by recording artist Fe. For tickets to the game, click here.

The Express would like to offer all Hudson County schools an opportunity to get the Express Experience! Visit www.jerseyexpress.net for the team's schedule and contact Mr. Jeff Brown jbrown@jerseyexpress.net for details.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
