Jersey Express add Frank Corbett to growing roster

Madison, NJ - The Jersey Express have signed Frank Corbett to the roster for the 2008-2009 season. Corbett, who resides in Brooklyn, New York, will add to the Express vision both on and off the court.
Frank graduated from Jarvis Christian College where he was an NAIA ALL- CONFERENCE player. At 6'8, he averaged 18pts and l1rpg during his college career. After college Frank played on several NYC Pro Summer League teams, and won the "Hard 2 Guard 2008" championship at Madison Square Garden.
Corbett had the distinct honor of being only one of two student athletes who graduated with a double major. He then worked for BETS 106 & PARK, and then for CBS INSIDE EDITION. Currently he teaches 7th grade history at Middle School 50, and is an assistant coach of the boy's basketball team that won the 2007-2008 championship.
"We are extremely excited about this signing. Frank is the type of player who depicts what the organization is all about. He's well versed on and off the court, and already works with kids in the community.
Being able to add additional depth to our frontcourt was an issue we needed to address in the off-season. We feel that we've accomplished that by bringing in a player of Franks caliber, who has a tremendous basketball IQ. He's able to score in a variety of ways, and should be highly ranked league wide in rebounding. The coaching staff was hoping we were able to get it done, and we did. Frank is definitely a double-double guy who should create match-up problems; stated team President Marsha Blount.
