Jersey City Represented During Final Express Tryout

Jersey City, N.J. (Monday, October 17, 2011) - The Jersey Express Professional Basketball Team, held its Final Tryout on Saturday, October 15th @ The Heights Middle School #7, Jersey City, NJ. Local players from Jersey City turned out in droves, with the recent announcement that the Express would be making its home in Jersey City, at the Jersey City Armory located at 678 Montgomery Street.
Here's a list of some of the players from Jersey City: Paris King, Paul Session, Derrick Mercer, Paul Taylor, Timothy Wesley, Marquis Blackwell, Jerrell James, and John King to name a few.
The training camp roster will include the following players: Edguardo Torres, Matt Cavalieri, Shaun Johnson, David Louis, Jerusalem Strickland, Jayson Smith, Saiquon Stone, John King, Roy Richburg, Anthony Clark, Travis Gale, Eric Hillsman, Ishier Meredith, Timothy Wesley, Kelvin DeLosAngeles, Jermaine Abraham, Eric Mingo, Kevin Edmonds, Jeffrey Brown, Anthony Clark and Eric Boone. These players will join roster players; Dexter Gray, Zahir Carrington, Darren Travis, Darnell Braswell, LaRon Basey, and Sedale Walton. The final roster will not be posted, until after training camp is completed.
'We'll carry 10-12 active players, and a full taxi squad of 5 to 7 players for practice, with the hopes of making it to the active roster. Head Coach Terry Dehere will be announcing the start of training camp shortly; stated Express Owner Marsha Blount.
With the NBA currently in the midst of a lockout, the ABA is stronger than ever, and New Jersey's own Jersey Express will feature exciting, high-scoring, fun- filled family entertainment, at affordable prices. Enjoy a night out at an Express game, for less than the price of a movie ticket! Opening night is Saturday, November 19th @ 7pm, when they take on the Staten Island Vipers.
SEASON TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW!!! General Admission Season Tickets are ONLY $105 - VIP Floor Season Tickets (includes meal, and concierge service) are ONLY $525 for 15 regular season home games. Individual game tickets are ONLY $10, and you're encouraged to bring a child for only $5. Season ticket holders will be invited to attend an opening night pre-game autograph session with the players and coaches.
