SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Stealth forward Jeff Zywicki was named Overall and Offensive Player of the Week and goalie Aaron Bold also was honored for his time in the net last week as the Defensive Player of the Week, the National Lacrosse League (NLL) announced today.

Zywicki scored a combined eight goals, seven assists and scooped up 14 loose balls last week. Against Minnesota Zywicki scored five goals and assisted on four. A couple days prior in New York, the Ottawa native netted three goals and had three assists in road victory.

The three-year starter for the Stealth currently leads the NLL in goals (17) and points (33) and previously earned the NLL weekly honors after his five goals and four assists in the season opener at Calgary.

Zywicki's teammate, Aaron Bold earned this week's Defensive Player of the Week honors. The 22 year-old goalie, who normally backs up starter Anthony Cosmo, picked up 46 saves and allowed only seven goals in the Stealth's 12-7 win at New York. Bold also replaced Cosmo in Saturday's home-game loss to Minnesota, where he picked up two saves and allowed one goal in the final five minutes.

Bold is one of the top NLL goalies, second in both goals-against average (7.78 per game) and save percentage (84.5%).
