Jeff Franklin to Play for Team USA in World Championships of American Football

Cincinnati, Ohio - Cincinnati Commandos defensive back Jeff Franklin, has been selected to participate for Team USA in the 4th World Championship of American Football, which will take place from July, 8th-16th, 2011 in Austria. http://www.americanfootball2011.com/en/.

Franklin played collegiality at Central State University and has been part of both of the Commandos teams that captured the CIFL Championships in 2010 and 2011. This past season playing in ten games, Franklin tallied four interceptions, returning two of those for touchdowns and also recovered one fumble which he returned for a score. Franklin finished fourth on the team in tackles. While playing for the Commandos in 2010, Franklin led the team with nine interceptions, retunring one for a touchdown.

The Commandos completed an undefeated season and captured the first-ever back-to-back championships in the CIFL. The Commandos defeated the Marion Blue Racers 44-29 in the CIFL Championship game on June 12 at the Cincinnati Gardens.

The Cincinnati Commandos are part of the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL), the longest running indoor football league in America. The team features local and experienced talent.
