(Nashua, N.H., January 18, 2006) - Nashua Pride team officials today announced that Jay Yennaco has been named the pitching coach for the 2006 season. Playing for the Pride in both 2002 and 2004, he will draw upon a wealth of professional baseball experience to share with Nashua's pitchers this coming summer.

Yennaco, a local star from Pinkerton Academy, was drafted by the Red Sox in the third round of the 1995 draft. Before joining Nashua, the right-handed pitcher also played for the Pawtucket Red Sox in the International League and spent time in the St. Louis Cardinals organization with the Memphis Redbirds in the Pacific Coast League.

The current Windham resident has recently been extremely involved with his own local company, Yennaco Custom Gloves. The company sets out to offer high quality custom baseball gloves and custom sports accessories. Yennaco commented on his new role with the club, "After playing for Butch in the past, it will now be exciting for me to be working with him as the pitching coach. I am looking forward to coaching some young arms and helping them get to the next level."

The Nashua Pride, entering their first year of play in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball, play their home games at Historic Holman Stadium. Prior to joining the Can-Am League, the Pride played for eight seasons in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, winning the 2000 Atlantic League championship.
