Macon, GA. The ABA Georgia Gwizzlies are pleased to announce that Fumihiko Otsuka will be in uniform on the teams Opening Training Camp/Media Day, November 8th at its home venue, the Macon Centerplex Coliseum. Otsuka will make Georgia sports history as the first Japanese player to ever play pro basketball in the Peach State. "We are very pleased and excited that Fumihiko has decided to play with us. Earlier this summer, the Gwizzlies organization made an attempt to sign Wang Zhi Zhi, the first Chinese player to play in the NBA. Instead, he went to Europe to play.
