
Jacksonville Bluewaves First Home Game This Saturday

After earning a win (116-112) in its first game in franchise history in an away game against the Florida Flight, the Jacksonville Bluewaves are preparing for their first home game Saturday, May 15 against the Marietta Storm.
Tip off for this Saturday's game against the Storm is scheduled for 2 p.m. in the Edward Waters College gymnasium (1859 Kings Road - 32209). Tickets are on sale now and will be sold on game day at $3 for children ages 5-12, $5 for military and students and $8 for adults.
"This is the real deal. We are ready to show our hometown what we can do," said General Manager and Coach of the Jacksonville Bluewaves, Kevin Waters. "We have a great group of guys and our fans can count on us to put on a great show."
Pre-game festivities begin at 1:45 p.m. with the singing of the national anthem by local R&B artist Akia Uwanda and player introductions. During halftime, fans will be treated to a performance by the Systematic Dance Crew, winners of the Best Hip Hop Dance Crew on BET's106 & Park, and the music of DJ Skillz. Throughout the game, fans will also have the chance to be selected from the audience to compete in on-court games for prizes and giveaways.

The next home game for the Jacksonville Bluewaves is scheduled for Friday, May 21 against the Florida Flight. Tip off is at 7 p.m.
