Jacks Single-Game Tickets on Sale in New Downtown Office

May 31, 2011 - Texas Collegiate League (TCL)
East Texas PumpJacks News Release

The off-season is officially over.

For players and coaches, that means a practice tonight then a road trip to Victoria to open the season against the Generals tomorrow night.

For fans, the end of the off-season means tickets for individual games are on sale beginning today. Fans may begin purchasing tickets for the home opener next Monday, June 6, the first Fireworks Friday on June 10, or any of the 30 regular season home games scheduled for the 2011 regular season.

As in years past, the team offers the convenience of being able to purchase tickets on the web, over the phone, or in person. For the first time, though, buying in person means a visit to Kilgore's historic downtown area. The team's offices have been relocated to 114 North Kilgore Street, across the street from the popular Nanny Goats restaurant.

The main office is open to purchase tickets from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. when the team is on the road, or on any home game day from 9 a.m. until 3½ hours before game time (usually 3:30 p.m.). Over the phone, fans may pay with Visa, MasterCard, or American Express, while those who visit the office may also pay with cash or check.

On home game days, the ticket office at historic Driller Park will open one hour prior to the game, which will usually be 6 pm.

Pump Jacks home game times will usually be 7:05 p.m., with the gates opening at 6 pm. In the event of a doubleheader, the first game will begin at 6:05 p.m., and the teams will play a pair of seven-inning ballgames.

Fans who prefer the convenience of purchasing tickets on the web can visit the Pump Jacks' official web site, www.pumpjacksbaseball.com. A link on the home page will take fans to the team's online ticketing system. You'll have the convenience of looking at available tickets and picking your actual seat location. After purchasing your tickets with a credit card, you'll even be able to print out your tickets on your own home printer!

The Pump Jacks have never raised ticket prices since the team arrived four years ago, and this year some tickets actually cost less! Lower Box seats, the seats closest to the field which include in-your-seat wait service, are now just $8 each. Upper Box seats, just a few steps back from the lower boxes but in the same comfortable armchairs, are now only $6 apiece. Grandstand general admission tickets remain $5 for adults and $4 for children and seniors.

The Pump Jacks offer groups the opportunity to book private pre-game, all-you-can-eat picnics on the team's 1,500 square-foot picnic deck at Driller Park. Groups of 25 or more are also eligible to receive discounts on tickets, with increased discounts based on the size of the group.

For youngsters, the Pump Jacks offer the ever-popular Field of Dreams program, which gives one youth team per game the chance to take the field with the Pump Jacks starting lineup. Only one team each game can participate in the Field of Dreams, so coaches and parents are urged to contact the Pump Jacks quickly to book a date.

Pump Jacks birthday parties are getting a boost this year, courtesy of Edible Art in Longview. Every child in a birthday party will now enjoy a decorative custom cookie featuring the Derrick's smiling face, made only for the birthday parties by the artists at Edible Art. Kids in the parties will still get a hot dog, chips and a drink for dinner. Boomer or Derrick will visit the party, and the guest of honor will still receive an autographed item and enjoy a birthday welcome over the PA system. Everyone in the party will also receive a voucher to play one of our kids games in the courtyard.

Information on all of the Pump Jacks' group opportunities is available by calling the team's office at (903) 218-4638 or by visiting www.pumpjacksbaseball.com.

The Jacks open the season with a two-game series in Victoria beginning tomorrow night, followed by a pair of games against the three-time TCL champion Coppell Copperheads.

The Jacks open the 2011 home schedule June 6 and 7 with a 2010 TCL Championship Series rematch against the Generals. The Pump Jacks extended a special invitation for fans to attend the home opener for free, too! Fans simply need to visit the team's official page on Facebook, "Like" the Pump Jacks, then send an e-mail with their name, address and telephone number to facebook@pumpjacksbaseball.com. Every fans is eligible to receive two free grandstand tickets.

The team returns home June 10 for the season's first Fireworks Friday presented by Patterson Kilgore and KLTV News. East Texas wraps up the two game series with the new Acadiana Cane Cutters on Saturday, June 11, with Everybody's Winning Night.

Pump Jacks season tickets are still available, and at new, lower prices! The Jacks have cut Lower Box seat season tickets to $199 â€" which includes in-your-seat wait service â€" and just $150 for Upper Box seats. Grandstand season tickets are available for the low price of $105 for adults and $85 for children and seniors.
