July 3, 2014 - Texas Collegiate League (TCL)
East Texas PumpJacks News Release
The second half will have to wait one more day for the East Texas Pump Jacks and Woodlands Strykers.
The Pump Jacks and Strykers, who were scheduled to kick off the second half of the 2014 season Thursday night at The Woodlands, have been rained out. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Friday, July 4, beginning at 5:05 p.m.
Pump Jacks fans can follow all the action online on Pump Jacks TV.
All TCL teams begin the second half with a record of 0-0. The top two teams in the second half earn a berth in the postseason. The Brazos Valley Bombers and Victoria Generals clinched playoff spots in the first half, while East Texas finished tied for fourth.
The Pump Jacks are on a season-high four-game road trip through the weekend that will take them from The Woodlands to Victoria. The team will then enjoy a three-day break for the 2014 TCL All-Star Game in Bryan, Texas.
The Pump Jacks return to Historic Driller Park next Thursday, July 10, for Thirsty Thursday. Fans can keep cool with 50-cent soft drinks and one-dollar draft beers while the Jacks host the Generals.
Friday continues the Pump Jacks 2014 giveaway schedule with Seat Cushion Giveaway Night, presented by Texas Spine & Joint Hospital and CBS 19. The first 500 fans through the gate will receive a free Pump Jacks stadium seat cushion featuring the popular "Boomer eyes" logo.
