Jackalopes Hosting New Mexico in Preseason Series

ODESSA, TX - The Odessa Jackalopes will host two preseason games this year at MCM Ice at the Music City Mall this preseason. The games are set for Friday and Saturday, September 6 and 7. Puck-drop will be 7:00 pm on both nights. The Jacks will be playing the New Mexico Ice Wolves in their first ever visit to the Permian Basin.

The Jackalopes will also have a meet and greet at the skate rental desk after both games. Admission is free and will offer fans a great chance to meet and interact with this year's Odessa hockey team and get a first look at an upcoming south division rival.

Todd Watson gives update on Training Camp

Jackalopes training camp proceeded into it's second day and coach Todd Watson was pleased with the team's progress thus far.

"Guys have trained hard and they're in good shape and I really liked our black-white game last night," Watson said. "Today guys were a little sore but I thought they were sharp, much better. Overall we're where we're at."

The Jacks will host another Black-and-White scrimmage on Wednesday August 28 before traveling to Shreveport for a pair of games this weekend on August 30 and 31. Admission is free for Wednesday's scrimmage.
