Itinerary Set for Stanley Cup Visit to Port Huron

PORT HURON, MI - The Detroit Red Wings Alumni are coming to Port Huron and they are bringing hockey's Holy Grail! The Stanley Cup will be at McMorran Arena on Saturday, January 17, with numerous opportunities to meet the Cup all day long.

Get your picture taken with the championship trophy of the National Hockey League beginning at noon in the Memorial Room at McMorran Arena on January 17. The cup will be available for pictures from 12 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. The cost is just $10 to take a picture with your own camera. You may take three photos with up to six people.

A number of former Detroit Red Wing greats will be on hand throughout the day to sign autographs. Hall of Famers and Stanley Cup winners Ted Lindsay and Alex Delvecchio will sign autographs from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m., Joey Kocur and Dave Lewis will be available from 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., Bill Gadsby will sign from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., and Karen Newman, the voice of the Detroit Red Wings will sign autographs from 7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. Get an autograph from one of these legendary players for just $10. All proceeds will benefit Kinney Charities and the charities of the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Association.

Catch hockey greats in action at 4:30 p.m. when the Detroit Red Wings Alumni take on the Port Huron Professional Hockey Alumni. The Red Wings Alumni lineup is slated to include Joey Kocur, John Ogrodnick, Mickey Redmond, Shawn Burr, Dennis Hextall, Dave Lewis and more. Lacing up the skates for the Port Huron Alumni will be Bobby McKillop, Trevor Edwards, Shane Tomlinson, Kraig Nienhuis, Mike McDougal, Jon Finstrom and Manon Rheaume, the only woman to ever play in the National Hockey League.

Mickey Redmond, Manon Rheaume and Dennis Hextall will sign autographs during an intermission of the game.

Tickets are just $5 for general admission seating. Tickets are available now at the Icehawks office, 325 Huron Avenue, Port Huron. All celebrity appearances are subject to change.

"The Icehawks are extremely proud to welcome the Detroit Red Wings Alumni and the Stanley Cup to Port Huron," Icehawks Vice President and Business Manager Dave Goetze said. "It is a once in a lifetime experience to see the Stanley Cup up close and personal. The Red Wing Alumni put on a great show, and do it for a great cause."

Get your final hockey fix at 7:30 p.m. when the Icehawks take on the Fort Wayne Komets. Karen Newman, the voice of the Detroit Red Wings, will be singing the national anthem. After the game, present your ticket stub at the Military Street Music Café to receive entrance to an exclusive post game party with the Stanley Cup. Karen Newman will also perform. The restaurant is located at 1102 Military Street in downtown Port Huron.
