ITECH Hockey signs on as the exclusive facial protection of the USHL

August 4, 2004 - United States Hockey League (USHL) News Release

ITECH Hockey, the market leader in head and facial product innovation, and the United States Hockey League (USHL) have announced the signing of a multi-year agreement making ITECH the League's exclusive facial protection provider.

The agreement will begin immediately and be in place for the 2004-05 season.

"ITECH is excited to be partnering up with the USHL, whose alumni includes recent Stanley Cup champs John Grahame, Ben Clymer and Ruslan Fedotenko, in addition to Brian Rafalski, Tyler Arnason and Erik Cole," said ITECH Vice President of Marketing and Sales Randy Burns. "The league prides itself on its professionalism, which manifests itself in the number of quality players and coaches who graduate to the collegiate and professional levels of the game."

The deal will call for the use of ITECH's revolutionary HX50 half shield.

"ITECH has been a leader in the facial protection field for many years and the USHL is happy to be working with ITECH product and staff for the upcoming season," said USHL President Gino Gasparini.

The United States Hockey League is America's top junior league and the nation's only Tier 1 league. The USHL's annual average of more than 100 players earning Division 1 college offers is unmatched in junior hockey. The league's average of more than 15 NHL Draft Picks each season is also unmatched in American junior hockey. The league, now in its 26th season, has also helped produce the last three NCAA Frozen Four Most Outstanding Players: Grant Potulny, Thomas Vanek and Adam Berkhoel.

ITECH carries a comprehensive line of head, facial, protective and goalie equipment that includes more CSA (Canadian Safety Association) certified products than any other hockey equipment supplier in the industry. ITECH facial shields, helmets and goalie masks have been recognized as the premier choice among NHL, minor pro and collegiate players worldwide.
