When the Fort Wayne Freedom clash with Sioux City Saturday night in indoor football play at Memorial Coliseum a local football legend Russ Isaacs will be a part of the broadcast. Isaacs will team up with Freedom play-by-play announcer Dean Jackson to provide insight into the game.
In 14 seasons with the Snider Panthers, Russ has compliled a 151-24 record -thats an 86 percent winning percentage and an impressive 63-22 playoff record, including nine Summit Athletic Conference, eight Sectional, six Regional, and three semi-state titles. His teams have appeared in three state title games, including winning the 1992 Class 5A crown.
At each Freedom home game, the team will have a local high school coach as part of the broadcast. Casey Kolkman of North Side and Dean Doerffler of Concordia have appeared on broadcasts this season.
