CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland City Stars forward Israel Sesay was named to the Week 12 USL First Division Team of the Week after his two assist performance Saturday against the Austin Aztex. Sesay stepped right into the Cleveland lineup against the Vancouver Whitecaps after coming on loan from the MLS L.A. Galaxy on Tuesday and followed up the promising debut by leading the City Stars in the 2-2 draw on Saturday.

Sesay's first assist came in the 11th minute on a beautiful cross to Joshua Boateng. The second came late in the match as the City Stars pressed up in a desperate attempt to tie the score. In the 90th minute Sesay fired another perfect cross. The time the cross flew through traffic and across the box to the awaiting Ricardo Pierre-Louis who headed the ball into the net to earn the point.

"Izzy has been a boost for us and it's good to see him get recognized," said Cleveland City Stars Head Coach Rod Underwood. "He assisted on both of our goals Saturday and the final goal was a huge one for us in the 90th minute to earn the point. Friday is a big match for us and we're going to need another good performance from him as we go for three points."

The City Stars and the Aztex rematch on Friday July 3rd at 8 p.m. in a nationally teleivised Fox Soccer Channel broadcast. The City Stars are in 10th place in the USL-1 table, just two points behind 9th place Austin.
