Harrisburg, PA - Following the announcement that the Islanders Club President Tiago Lopes will be leaving Harrisburg effective immediately, the club has announced that Roy Mehl will be named his replacement.

Majority Owner Eric Pettis praised Mehl saying "I am very excited to announce Roy as the new President to lead the Club as we embark on some major new initiatives with our business plan".

Roy Mehl brings 28 years of experience in consulting, small business management, organization change, business analysis and project management to the City Islanders.

"I wanted to make sure this opportunity did not get away from us" shared Pettis. He continued, "Roy brings a business acumen that is critical to our growth and plans to expand our foot print in the community. He and I have been teammates and business associates for a long time and he is the right man at the right time to lead the club forward".

Roy has been a partner with Angelo's Soccer Corner, as well as a consultant in many other cities throughout the United States. Most recently Roy worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on multiple projects for PennDOT and The Governor's Office of Administration. Roy's experience working with both small and large companies gives him an understanding of how to structure and grow a business.

Having played soccer at Lock Haven University and then for multiple club teams in Central PA, Roy has a long history in the soccer community. He has coached youth teams for both the CASA and Lower Dauphin Soccer clubs and enjoys watching his son, Sam, and daughter, Caroline, playing soccer.

Roy is married to Amy Mehl and they have resided in the Harrisburg area for over 25 years.
