The New Jersey Ironmen (11-10) officially announced Monday that former New York Cosmos midfielder Vladislav "Bogie" Bogicevic will be the club honorary captain in a pregame ceremony this Sunday when the Ironmen host the Orlando Sharks (3-20) at Prudential Center. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 p.m. in a day that will also be saluting "soccer moms".
As part of "Soccer Mom Day", the Ironmen will be awarding soccer moms throughout the match up against Orlando with various gift certificates and prizes. The team will also be selecting the first-ever New Jersey Ironmen "Soccer Mom of the Year".
A portion of ticket revenue from Sunday's game will also be donated to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure foundation for breast cancer research. Following the game on Sunday will also mark the inaugural Girls High School Senior All-Star Game presented by NJSoccer.org.
