Rockford Thunder News Release

Dear Thunder Fans:

"WOW" is the thought in my head when I think about this upcoming season.

I cannot believe how fast this off season has gone! I feel like it was just a couple months ago I was just playing in Allentown, PA and now its almost time to play on a new field in Rockford. Though I am definitely in shock in where this year has went, I cannot tell you all how excited I am for another year of NPF softball. I am more excited to start this year in a new city with many places to see, people to meet and new faces on a team.

This spring I continued my masters program at St. Marys College of California in kinesiology after a semester hiatus from school. Now my life is again consumed with stats and school work! I work at Chabot Community College in Hayward, Calif. as a softball coach which takes up most of my time. I take pride in the fact that I have most of my students completely brainwashed and they love it. Just think, there are about 11 lil' Chelsea Spencers running around playing softball. Now, most of you would think that this is a scary thought, but I swear, its really not that bad! They are very committed, hard working, fun loving and most of all dedicated young women! They are my pride and joy!!!

Anyway, I cant wait for this summer. Everyone on this team is a new face to me and l cant wait to play with them all. I look forward to being able to step on the field as a player (and not a coach) this summer and kick some butt for you Rockford fans. See you all soon!

Sincerely,

Chelsea Spencer #2
