Inter Miami Set to Face Birmingham Legion FC on the Road in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals

Inter Miami CF learned tonight that the Club will face Birmingham Legion FC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinals. The match will be played on the road at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama on June 6 or 7. The kickoff time and exact date will be determined by U.S. Soccer later this week.

Inter Miami earned their place in the Quarterfinals by defeating Miami FC, Charleston Battery and most recently Nashville SC. Meanwhile, USL Championship side Birmingham Legion earned their spot after defeating Chattanooga Red Wolves SC, Chattanooga FC, Memphis 901 FC and Charlotte FC.

The 2023 edition of the tournament marks Inter Miami CF's second year participating in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Tournament and with the victory on Tuesday night against Nashville, the Club advanced to the Quarterfinals for the first time in Club history. Inter Miami need just three more wins to win their first cup in Club history and clinch a spot in the 2024 edition of the Concacaf Champions League.
