Inter Miami CF II Set to Face Atlanta United 2 on the Road this Sunday

Inter Miami CF II (5W-16L-5D, 21 points) heads to Kennesaw, Georgia this weekend to take on Atlanta United 2 (9W-12L-5D, 33 points), on Sunday, September 17 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The Herons will head into this matchday 27 fixture looking to continue its winning ways after defeating FC Cincinnati 2 3-0 in its most recent match. The win featured first professional career goals for defenders Tye Barton and Nykolas Sessock, and second MLS NEXT Pro goal for 16-year-old Academy product Santiago Morales.

Atlanta, on the other hand, will be entering this weekend's fixture after coming up on top in its last two matches, defeating Huntsville City FC 1-2 this past weekend and FC Cincinnati 2 3-1 on September 2.

Sunday's match will be the third and last time both clubs go head-to-head this MLS NEXT Pro campaign, with Miami seeking to secure the series-season win following its two latest matchups against Atlanta, falling on the road in early June and earning 3-2 victory at home in early May.
