JACKSON, TENN. - The Seattle Mariners have announced the following roster move that affects the Generals roster. INF Brock Hebert ( pronounced aye-bear) has been promoted from Hi-A High Desert to Jackson. The move puts Jackson's roster at 25 players and is made prior to tonight's 7:05 p.m. game against the Mobile BayBears. Hebert is batting ninth and playing shortstop for the Generals tonight.

Hebert, 23, in 50 games for Hi-A High Desert batted .267 (52x195), with 12 doubles, 4 triples, 3 home runs, 30 RBI and 9 stolen bases. In 3 games from May 25-May31 with Triple-A Tacoma he batted .200 (2x10). Hebert spent the majority of the 2013 season with Clinton, but also appeared in games with High Desert (6/20-7/2 & 8/2-12) and Everett (7/26-8/1). He appeared in games at second base, shortstop, third base, left field and center field. He was on the disabled list with a sprained right wrist, July 2-26.

Hebert was the Mariners' 14th round selection in the 2012 draft out of Southeastern Louisiana. He was named Southland Conference Player of the Year in 2012 after leading the league in batting (.374), runs scored (58) and stolen bases (36). He was also named a third team Louisville Slugger All-American and ranks fifth on the school's all-time list with 213 career hits, fourth with 150 runs, 10th with 123 RBIs and second with 70 steals.
