Indianapolis Indians News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Indians and 1260 WNDE, an affiliate of IHeart Media, have announced a three-year extension of their radio broadcast agreement. Indians games will now air on 1260 AM, WNDE.com and via the iHeartRadio app through the 2017 season.
"We are pleased and excited that Indianapolis Indians baseball will continue to be broadcast on WNDE," said Indians general manager Randy Lewandowski. "WNDE, Rick Green, Query & Schultz and the entire iHeartRadio team have been an important part of our growth and success with their tremendous support and exposure of Indians baseball. We look forward to continue to work with them over the next three seasons."
The Indians have enjoyed great success both on the field and at the gates since partnering with WNDE in 2011. Indians attendance has grown each season, culminating with a Victory Field single-season record 660,289 fans in 2014, while on the field the Indians have posted four straight winning seasons, including International League West Division titles in 2012 and 2013.
"I'm thrilled the Indianapolis Indians game day broadcasts will continue on 1260 WNDE," said iHeart Media market manager Rick Green. "They have created such a positive imprint on this city with a beautiful ballpark and fan-friendly attitude from the players to the stadium staff. It's a unique team, and I'm delighted we will be their broadcast partner for the next several years."
