
Indiana Pacers Assign Plumlee and Johnson to NBA D-League Affiliate Fort Wayne

NEW YORK, Nov. 22, 2012 - Indiana assigned rookies Miles Plumlee and Orlando Johnson to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, the Pacers' NBA Development League affiliate. The assignments are the first for both players and the 11th and 12th of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons.
Plumlee (6-11, 255, Duke) joins the Mad Ants having appeared in four games for the Pacers this season, scoring four points and grabbing five rebounds in 16 minutes. Selected 26th overall by the Pacers in the first round of the 2012 NBA Draft, Plumlee was a four-year member of the Blue Devils where he won an NCAA championship in 2010.
Johnson (6-5, 220, California - Santa Barbara) was originally selected in the second round, 36th overall, by the Sacramento Kings before joining the Pacers in the offseason. He has appeared in two games for Indiana this season. While at Santa Barbara, Johnson was named All-Big West Player of the Year in 2010.
Plumlee and Johnson are expected to be available when Mad Ants tip off their 2012-13 NBA D-League season on Friday, Nov. 23, when the team hosts the Erie BayHawks in Fort Wayne.
