Montreal Impact News Release

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Wednesday a collaboration with the feature film Starbuck, written and directed by Ken Scott (Les doigts croches, Maurice Richard, La grande séduction), produced by Caramel Films and distributed by Christal Films; scheduled for theatrical release in June 2011.

"We are very pleased to be collaborating with this movie," said Richard Legendre, executive vice president of the Montreal Impact and Saputo Stadium. "This will be a great opportunity to provide visibility for the club and the stadium, but also a unique experience for our fans. Once the script was presented to us, we quickly realized that the Impact's participation would be appropriate."

The Starbuck team will film a few scenes at Saputo Stadium this Sunday, September 19 (2pm), during the regular season game between the Montreal Impact and the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The filming of the movie will not affect the game.

Some fans in specific areas of the stadium will be asked to participate in the filming, most notably in simulating a goal celebration.

The Quebec actor Patrick Huard will be playing David Wosniak, the principal role, who is an eternally adolescent parent of 533 children.
