MONTREAL, September 21, 2004 â Montreal Impact players, who were crowned 2004 A-League champions over the weekend, will be in the heart of downtown, Thursday at lunch time, in order to thank the fans who have supported them all season long. After visiting City Hall and being greeted by the Mayor of Montreal, Mr. Gérald Tremblay, earlier in the morning, head coach Nick DeSantis' players will be heading out around noon to Crescent Street between DeMaisonneuve and Ste. Catherine, where they will be introduced to the crowd, will each say a few words to the fans and will then sign autographs and pose for photos.
Soccer fans are therefore invited to come celebrate the title with the players.
