Illinois Piasa's Home Opener is Breast Cancer Research Foundation Night

Join us at The Sports Academy in Glen Carbon, Illinois on November 3 at 7:35 pm for the first game of the 2012-13 Professional Arena Soccer League season in a rematch of Piasa's final game of the 2011-12 season versus the Detroit Waza.

Last March in Taylor Michigan, Piasa battled back from 4-0 down at halftime to tie the game 6-6 and force sudden death overtime. Unfortunately, the Waza struck first in OT. ending Piasa's season and stopping us short of traveling to San Diego to battle for the PASL Ron Newman Cup national championship title. Be there and be loud as Piasa looks to avenge this loss!!!

Illinois Piasa is partnered with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation for this event. $0.91 of every dollar this organization collects goes directly to breast cancer research! Visit www.fundraiseforbcrf.org/illinoispiasa to make a donation! The first 100 fans will receive a FREE "PINK" breast cancer awareness bracelet courtesy of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. There will be a SILENT AUCTION featuring Piasa's "PINK" jerseys donated by our official uniform supplier, Admiral Soccer. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Auction winners can join the team on the field following the game to have their shirts autographed and have their picture taken with the player whose jersey they won. So, bid on the shirt of your favorite Piasa player, it's for a great cause. The high bidder at the end of the 3rd quarter wins.

The St. Louis Soccer Alliance will be in attendance collecting petition signatures to lobby the pro soccer organizations to bring pro outdoor soccer back to St. Louis. The goal is to get as many soccer fans as possible to sign the petition in order that it can be submitted to MLS, NASL, and USL to try to bring professional outdoor soccer back to the STL. Fans signing the petition will receive a chance to win an Illinois Piasa jersey from our official uniform supplier Admiral, www.admiralsoccer.com.

General Admission tickets are $10.00, kids under 3 are free. VIP and Party Zone table seating also available. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at www.illinoispiasa.com/ticket-information. Piasa fans receive $1.00 off General Admission to ANY Illinois Piasa home game for police, firefighters, emergency responders, veterans of the armed services, and students (valid ID required). Also, children 12 and under wearing their soccer uniform or Piasa shirt get $2.00 off General Admission at the door. USSF Referees showing their badge will receive $2.00 off general admission, as well. One of the best things about bringing the family to watch Piasa play is that there are NO OVERPRICED CONCESSIONS like at the big stadiums! All of your food and drink at The Sports Academy will be regular price! As always, fans can join the team on the field after the game for autographs and photos!
