November 4, 2011 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL)
Illinois Piasa News Release

When the Piasa open their 2011-12 season at the Sports Academy this Saturday night, November 5, 2011, there will be a special fan on hand. The Piasa will dedicate their first game of the season to Dorrian, a 4 year old who is is suffering from terminal brain cancer and a growing tumor that is slowly causing him to go blind. Dorrian was given a signed ball and jersey from the team and will walk onto the field Saturday night during the national anthem and will have the honor of first kick.

The team also purchased a website, hired a graphic artist and is paying for hosting for a website dedicated to helping Dorrian and his family with donations during their time of need (www.helpdorrian.com).

"We want to make a difference in this little boys life as well as help mom and dad during these difficult times," said Piasa owner Jason Cawvey. "I have three children and thankfully all of them are healthy, I don't know what I would do if one them were to become sick, but I do know that I could count on the soccer community to help. We may be fierce rivals on the pitch but we are a close knit family off. I'm hoping that everyone will come out, enjoy phenomenal soccer, and help a struggling family."

The Illinois Piasa will play the Kansas Magic, Saturday, November 5 at 7:30pm.

Illinois Piasa is a professional indoor soccer team entering their second season as a PASL-Pro franchise and will play their home games at The Sports Academy, located at 101 The Game Drive, Glen Carbon, IL 62034.
