Illinois Piasa Announce Preseason Inter-Squad Friendly and Fan Appreciation

October 4, 2013 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL)
Illinois Piasa News Release

Pontoon Beach, IL, 10/4/13 - Illinois Piasa will host a "Fan Appreciation Night" on Saturday, October 12 at 7:35 pm at The Field Sports Complex in Pontoon Beach, Illinois, which will consist of a Piasa inter-squad friendly game and post-game meet-and-greet/autograph session with the players.

This will be a good opportunity for fans to check out Piasa's new home and to get to know the players. Fans will be welcomed onto the field after the game to hang out with the players, chat, get autographs and photos, and maybe kick the ball around a little.

"Even though this is an inter-squad friendly it will be highly competitive and is a much needed preseason tuneup for the guys," said Piasa General Manager Matt Williams.

Williams stated that there is still much to be done to get the facility ready for opening day and that "construction has just begun upstairs." He says they are a little behind schedule, but "the fans can still find the location and imagine what the place will be like when the upstairs and upper deck is open."

Admission for this special event is $5 at the door and there will be music and drawings for autographed Piasa gear. Parking is free at The Field Sports Complex for ALL Illinois Piasa home games. There are overflow lots next door at GCS Credit Union and at the corner of State Route 111 and Pontoon Road.

Illinois Piasa opens the 2013-14 PASL season at home on November 1 against the expansion team Tulsa Revolution. Kickoff is 7:35 pm at The Field Sports Complex in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. Tickets are available at www.IllinoisPiasa.com/tickets/ or by calling 618-334-5700.
