IFL Indoor Football League

IFL Week Ten Preview

Published on May 19, 2023 under Indoor Football League (IFL) News Release

The second half of the 2023 IFL is officially underway. All 14 teams will be in action as Week 10 kicks off on Saturday.

Quad City and Massachusetts start the week off as the Steamwheelers look to continue their winning streak. E.J. Hilliard is continuing his case for MVP with 1,100 passing yards and 30 touchdowns. On the other side, the Pirates look to right their ship after being blown out by Iowa last week.

Iowa, fresh off their first win of the season, will travel to Green Bay. The Barnstormers, after putting up 73 points a week ago, will work to replicate that production this week against the Blizzard. Green Bay can get back to .500 and firmly in playoff contention with a win on Saturday.

Tucson hosts Sioux Falls in an inter-conference battle. Both teams sit in third position in their conference standings. Quarterback Ramone Atkins will lead Tucson as they hope to end their current three-game losing streak. The Storm is coming of a one-sided road loss to Quad City. Both teams need this win to further cement their place near the top of the standings.

Northern Arizona will make the short trip to Arizona to square off against their in-state rival. The Rattlers got back their guy in Drew Powell and are hoping to string together some wins and get back into the thick of things in the Western Conference. A win this week against the Western Conference leader would help them do just that. The Wranglers will be looking for their fourth straight win.

Frisco is still undefeated, and of course that puts a target on their back. The Fighters, coming off a one-point win over Tulsa, will face one of their toughest tests of the year as they travel to Bay Area this week. Bay Area has been somewhat inconsistent, but with Dalton Sneed, JT Stokes, and Justin Rankin, they have the talent to beat anyone.

Vegas is coming off a big win over the Arizona Rattlers. The Western Conference is tight with just a few games separating most teams. The Knight Hawks have the talent to make a playoff push. This week they host Tulsa. Don't let the Oilers 1-6 record fool you. This team has gone blow for blow with some of the best teams in the league.

The Nate Davis revenge game? After trading Nate Davis three weeks ago, the Duke City Gladiators will face him as the travel to San Diego on Sunday. Davis is still looking for his first win with his new team. No team ever wants to lose, but this game will have extra desire to win from both sides this week.

The action all kicks off on Saturday night at 6:05 p.m. CT. Check out INSIDE THE IFL LIVE, The IFL's 'Redzone' style viewing option debuting Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. CT. All games are viewable on YouTube. INSIDE THE IFL LIVE will be viewable on the IFL's YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and Twitter.
