
IFL Week Four Recap

Week four of the IFL season is officially in the books. Duke City, Tucson, San Diego and Sioux Falls were able to walk away victorious after some exciting action.
Duke City hosted Tulsa on Saturday to kick off the week. Tulsa, while showing improvement, is still looking for their first win in franchise history. The Gladiators made sure that they didn't get it in week four.
Nate Davis helped lead Duke City to a 57-36 win over the Oilers with 146 passing yards and six touchdown passes. Tulsa, who was playing in just their second game, saw Bobby Froehlich lead them with 161 passing yards and another 23 on the ground, but it wasn't enough to keep up with the Gladiators.
Arizona and Tucson squared off in a battle of Arizona. The Rattlers lost another close game 54-48. Jorge Reyna, filling in for injured Drew Powell, threw for 242 yards in the Rattlers loss, while Tucson's Ramone Atkins threw for 124 and rushed for 48. Tucson improves to 2-0 and are starting to look like a true contender.
San Diego got their first win of the 2023 season on Sunday when they visited Vegas. The Knight Hawks held a seven-point lead at the end of the third quarter, but San Diego's 17-point fourth quarter propelled them to a 37-36 victory. Joe Mancuso had 127 yards through the air for Vegas and San Diego's Aaron Aiken threw for 125 yards.
The weekend was capped off by Iowa visiting Sioux Falls. The Storm walked away with their first win of the year. Lorenzo Brown led them in both passing and rushing with 83 yards in the air and another 45 on the ground. Iowa suffered their third straight loss to begin the 2023 campaign.
Week five features six games, three on both Saturday and Sunday. The action starts at 7:05 p.m. CT on Saturday with a big matchup as Massachusetts and Frisco battle to stay undefeated as well as Tulsa hosting their first ever home game.
