
IFL Week 7 Players of the Week Announced

The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 7 of the 2018 IFL season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Mike Tatum (WR, Sioux Falls Storm)
The Sioux Falls Storm held off the Nebraska Danger 45-37 in Week 7 and are now tied for an IFL-best 4-1 record. Longtime Storm WR Mike Tatum set the pace for the Storm's offense as he caught two long touchdown passes on the night. Tatum (5'10, Oxnard College) broke past the Danger's defense late in the first quarter for a 30 yard touchdown and then got past the Danger again for a 20 yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter. Tatum led the Storm with three receptions for 62 yards and two touchdowns on the night. He also added 54 kick return yards and finished with 120 all-purpose yards. Tatum and the Storm host the 4-1 Arizona Rattlers in Week 8 for a chance to to move to the top of the IFL standings.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jabari Gorman (DB,Sioux Falls Storm)
The Sioux Falls Storm forced three Nebraska Danger turnovers in the Storm's 45-37 victory in Week 7. The most important one however was a late interception by DB Jabari Gorman.Gorman (5'11, University of Florida) jumped in front of a Danger pass, tipped it to himself and then returned the interception 15 yards for a touchdown. The defensive touchdown by the 2016 IFL Defensive Rookie of the Year helped seal the game for the Storm as the team took a 15 point lead late in the game. Gorman finished his night with four tackles, one interception, one defensive touchdown and one pass breakup. Gorman and the Storm host the Arizona Rattlers in Week 8.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Korey Ringer (KR, Nebraska Danger)
The Nebraska Danger fell to the Sioux Falls Storm 45-37 in Week 8 however, KR Korey Ringer helped fuel to the Nebraska Danger offense all night long with great starting field position. Ringer (5'10,Ferris State Univ.) returned six kickoffs for 127 yards, a 21.2 yards per return average. His longest of 32 yards helped the Danger score a touchdown three plays later. His 22 yard kickoff return late in the third quarter placed the Danger at midfield, where the team would score a touchdown six plays later. In just four games this season, Ringer now leads the IFL all-purpose yards with 479 and has been twice named IFL Special Teams Player of the Week. Ringer and the Nebraska Danger travel to face the Iowa Barnstormers in Week 8.
