IFL Week 12 Players of the Week Announced

The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 12 of the 2018 IFL season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Dezmon Epps (WR, Arizona Rattlers)
The Arizona Rattlers won their eighth consecutive game as the team cruised by the Green Bay Blizzard 62-26 in Week 12. After leading the IFL in rushing this season, the Rattlers flipped the script against the Blizzard and passed for seven touchdowns. WR Dezmon Epps led the Rattlers through the air catching two touchdowns, including an IFL season long 47 yard catch. Epps proved to be an offensive weapon throughout the game as he also added 114 kick return yards on just four returns, including returning one for a touchdown. Epps finished his night receiving with three catches for 68 yards and two touchdowns. In total, he accounted for 182 all-purpose yards in the Rattlers' victory. Epps and the Rattlers host the Iowa Barnstormers in Week 13.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: James Calhoun (DB, Cedar Rapids Titans)
The Cedar Rapids fell to the Iowa Barnstormers 48-21 in Week 12, however Titans DB James Calhoun helped the IFL's second ranked pass defense limit the Barnstormers dangerous passing attack. After recording nine interceptions in his rookie season,Calhoun (5'11. Riverside City College) had yet to place his hands on one this season. That changed in Less than five minutes vs Iowa. Early in the first quarter, Calhoun intercepted a Barnstormers pass and returned it 33 yards for a touchdown. He would later go on to force a second turnover by forcing a fumble.Calhoun finished the game with seven tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one interception and one defensive touchdown. Calhoun and the Titans host the Sioux Falls Storm in Week 13.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Miles Bergner (K, Sioux Falls Storm)
In a rematch of United Bowls past, the Sioux Falls Storm inched by the Nebraska Danger 40-36 in Week 12. In such a close game, one of most decisive factors is always the play of special teams. Storm K Miles Bergner converted two key field goals and four extra points to help the Storm escape with the victory. In total, Bergner (6'0, Univ. of South Dakota) added 10 total points to the Storm's final tally. One of the most reliable kickers in the IFL, Bergner leads the IFL in converted field goals with 17 this season and is second in converted extra points with 60. In addition, Bergner ranks second in the IFL in scoring with 105 points on the season. Bergner and the Storm travel to face the Cedar Rapids Titans in Week 13.
