
IFL MVP and DROY Drafted into XFL

The Indoor Football League is proud to announce TJ Edwards and Kordell Jackson have been selected in the XFL supplemental draft.
Edwards, the 2023 IFL MVP, has been selected by the San Antonio Brahmas. Edwards just finished his incredible 2023 campaign for the Fighters where he threw for 2,600 yards and 39 touchdowns. He added 853 yards and 49 touchdowns on the ground. Edwards led the IFL in passing yards and rushing touchdowns. With his ability to attack both through the air and on the ground, Edwards was responsible for 88 touchdowns on the year. Edwards was also a First Team All-IFL selection.
Jackson, the IFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, has been selected by the Orlando Guardians. Kordell had a stellar rookie campaign for Frisco, where he led the league in pass breakups with 31, the next closest was 22. Jackson tied for the league lead in interceptions with eight. He returned three interceptions for touchdowns, which also leads the IFL. Kordell was chosen as an All-IFL First Team selection.
"This is obviously well deserved." Said IFL Commissioner Todd Tryon. "Edwards and Jackson are true professionals and I believe these are the first of many IFL players to be picked up by the XFL; and why not start with the Defensive Rookie of the Year and the MVP of our league."
The 2024 XFL season begins in February and consists of 40 regular season games and three post season games.
