IFL Announces Week Thirteen Players of the Week

The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week 13 of the 2022 season. Arizona Running Back, Shannon Brooks is the Offensive Player of the Week. The entire Green Bay Defense earns Defensive Players of the Week. Special Teams Player of the Week goes to Sioux Falls Kicker, Sawyer Petre.
Shannon Brooks - OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
When a team puts up 83 points, it's not a surprise that the Offensive Player of the Week is part of that squad. There were eye-popping stats up and down the Arizona Rattlers roster, but one players line stood out. Running back hasn't typically seen many Offensive Players of the Week nods in Indoor Football, but Shannon Brooks put on a show. Brooks had 50 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. He also added 42 receiving yards. Including a 30-yard touchdown reception. That's six total touchdowns for Brooks on the night.
Green Bay Defense - DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Green Bay's defense is feeling it. They held Quad City to the third lowest point total we've seen in 2022. It was a complete team effort so we're recognizing the entire squad. Over their last five games, Quad City had averaged 49.2 points per game. Saturday, they had 13. With the impressive play of Deldrick Canty, James Brown, Carl Robertgeau and Momodou Mbye (just to name a few), Green Bay allowed only 143 yards while forcing two fumbles, one interception, four sacks, three pass breakups and a blocked kick.
Sawyer Petre - SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
This time of year is great. So many games carry playoff implications. With Quad City losing the last two weeks, a win in Iowa would put Sioux Falls firmly in playoff position. That's exactly what they did. Sioux Falls defeated the Barnstormers by a score of 42-34 in Des Moines. Storm kicker, Sawyer Petre was huge. Sawyer was successful on four field goals and four PATs, giving him a total of 16 points. The Storm won by eight. You do the math.
Week 14 feature six games on Saturday. Starting at 6:05 PM CST as San Diego visits Vegas. Our IFL Game of the Week sees a battle for the top spot in the Western Conference as the Arizona Rattlers (9-2) visit the NAZ Wranglers (9-2). Catch all of the action on the IFL YouTube Channel.
