
IFL Announces 2023 All-Ifl Second Team Defense

The Indoor Football League is pleased to announce the 2023 Second Team All-IFL Defensive selections.
DEFENSIVE LINE - Maurice Jackson, Tucson Sugar Skulls
Jackson was a reliable piece for the Sugar Skulls defensive line. He finished the season with 55 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, seven sacks, six pass breakups, and one fumble recovery.
DEFENSIVE LINE - Tevaughn Grant, Bay Area Panthers
Grant ended his rookie regular season fourth in tackles for loss (13), tied for fourth in sacks (6.5). He also finished sixth in the IFL for forced fumbles with two.
DEFENSIVE LINE - Jaylin Swan, Quad City Steamwheelers
In 14 games, Swan finished the season with 33.5 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and two blocked kicks.
LINEBACKER - James Brown, Sioux Falls Storm
Brown was a major contributor on the Storm's defense this season, accumulating 95.5 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one fumble recovery and one interception which was returned for a touchdown.
LINEBACKER / DEFENSIVE BACK - Shaq Bond, Frisco Fighters
Bond wrapped up his season amassing 48 tackles, 12 pass breakups, four interceptions and one tackle for loss.
DEFENSIVE BACK - Defensive Back - Eugene Ford, Sioux Falls Storm
Ford finished his rookie season with 44.5 tackles, one tackle for loss, seven interceptions (ranking second in the IFL), six pass breakups and two fumble recoveries.
DEFENSIVE BACK - Michael Lovett, Frisco Fighters
Lovett ended the season tallying 40 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, six interceptions (ranking third in the IFL), 11 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
DEFENSIVE BACK - Roderick Chapman, Duke City Gladiators
Chapman accrued 63 tackles, two tackles for loss, seven interceptions and four pass breakups in the 2023 season.
