Idaho's Randy Livingston called up by Chicago Bulls

Boise, ID (March 22, 2006) - Idaho Stampede guard Randy Livingston signed a 10-day contract today with the Chicago Bulls, increasing his record of most NBA call-ups by any player in the history of the CBA to eight.

Livingston, a 6-foot-4, 209-pound guard, appeared in 13 games (all starts) for the Stampede this season after signing with Idaho on Feb. 8. He began the season with the Galatasaray Cafecrown Istanbul in Turkey. Livingston produced averages of 15.5 ppg., 12.7 apg. and 5.5 rpg. in 39.1 mpg., while shooting .410 pct. from the field and .788 pct. from the free-throw line.

Over the span of nine seasons, the 30-year-old New Orleans native has played in 194 NBA games for eight different teams. During that time, he has totaled 4.0 ppg., 2.1 apg. and 1.4 rpg. in 13.6 mpg. As a member of the Phoenix Suns during the 1999-2000 campaign, Livingston played in 79 games (15 starts) for Bulls Head Coach Scott Skiles and averaged 4.8 ppg., 2.2 apg. and 1.6 rpg. in 13.7 mpg.

After finishing his collegiate career at Louisiana State, Livingston was selected with the 42nd pick in the second round of the 1996 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets. He has played in 212 CBA career games for three different teams, including Idaho, Gary and Sioux Falls. He also is eighth all-time in CBA history with 1,777 career assists, while he sits 21st all-time in steals (445) and 38th all-time in career minutes played (8,073).

His most recent stint in the NBA came last season, when he appeared in 17 games with the Utah Jazz.
