(Boise, ID) - Head coach Hardy Sauter announced on Monday that defenseman Brendan Milnamow has signed with the Idaho Steelheads for the 2010-2011 season.

Milnamow, 24, was a member of ECHL's National Conference All-Star team last season after a solid rookie campaign for the Steelheads. The Wilton, CT, product finished the regular season with three goals and 25 assists in 72 games - the only Steelhead player to appear in each of the team's games.

The trend continued in the playoffs, where he appeared in each of Idaho's 15 playoff games as the Steelheads reached the ECHL's Kelly Cup finals. Factoring in his ECHL All Star Game appearance, Milnamow skated in all 88 games possible during the 2009-2010 season.

For his efforts, Milnamow was voted the Steelheads' US Army Ironman of the Year by his teammates.

He made his professional debut with Idaho in March of 2009, playing five games with the Steelheads after concluding his college career at Union College.

Milnamow (pronounced MIL-num-ow) is the third player to sign with the Steelheads, joining fellow defenseman Weston Tardy and forward Geoff Irwin.

The Steelheads open the regular season on October 15 when they host the Victoria Salmon Kings at Qwest Arena. Ticket plans for the 2010-2011 season are available right now, starting at just $275 per seat for all 36 home games during the regular season. Partial-season plans are also available.
