
IceMen Try To Whack The Hitmen

Evansville, IN: The Evansville IceMen of the All American Hockey League will be taking on the Detroit Hitmen for the first time this season on Saturday night, November 28th, at 7:45pm at Swonder Ice Arena. The IceMen are trying to snap a 4 game winless streak and the HitMen are looking for their first win of the season.
The IceMen lost a pair of games to the Madision Ice Muskies in Wisconsin last weekend on a tough road trip. "Things didn't go our way", head coach Jack Collins said. "We had our opportunities but we were not able to capitalize." The IceMen we shut out 4-0 by the Ice Muskies on Saturday night and then lost 3-2 in a shootout on Sunday. It was the third shootout of the young season for the IceMen.
The Detroit HitMen come to town for the IceMen's only game of the weekend. The IceMen are 0-10-1 to start the season, but thier last 5 games have been very close. "They are getting better", Collins said. "We have our work cut out for us against them. It should be a good game."
Saturday night is Black Buggy Night with the IceMen. There will be a canned food drive going on, as well. Anyone that brings a canned food item to the game will receive "Black Buggy Bucks", to be used at the Black Buggy restaurant in Evansville.
The IceMen will continue their current homestand next week, December 4th and 5th, as their Indiana Rival, the Chi-Town Shooters, come to town for the weekend.
