Evansville IceMen News Release
Evansville, IN: The Evansville IceMen of the All American Hockey League are excited to announce that three of their players have been sent up to higher level leagues this week.
Goaltender Mario Passarelli signed a contract this week with the Knoxville IceBears of the Southern Professional Hockey League. Passarelli has been the IceMen's top net- minder this season, posting a 9-5 record and a.900% save percentage. This is Passarelli's second call up of the season. He spent a week with the Dayton Gems, of the International Hockey League, earlier this season.
IceMen forwards, Ryan Ford and TJ Schneider also received call ups this week, by the Laredo Bucks of the ECHL.
Ford, fresh off of his first call up of the season by the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL, leads the IceMen in scoring, registering 16 goals and 15 assists, for 31 points, in 27 games.
"Ryan deserves this shot", IceMen GM Chip Rossetti said. "He has been playing great hockey all season and he had a hat trick this past Saturday in Battle Creek. I think he will do great down there."
Schneider joined the IceMen back in January and has played just 8 games with the team. The 6'4" forward has registered a goal and 5 assists, along with 16 penalty minutes, in his time in Evansville.
The IceMen are back on the ice this weekend starting on Friday when they welcome the West Michigan Blizzard to Swonder Ice Arena at 7:30. The team will then hit the road, playing Chi-Town on Saturday and West Michigan on Sunday..com
